French apartment in Bordeaux

A stunning apartment in Bordeaux, France … gorgeous decorative mouldings on the ceilings, door frames & walls, chevron & herringbone wood floors, original wood panelling & beautiful big windows. The interior styling is eclectic, with a mix of flea market finds, family heirlooms & new pieces. Photos by Julien Frenandez via insideout

I love mixing modern with antiques etc but the bare bulbs hanging on wires in the hall are jarring .. they are not pretty and they don't look good imo. Too out of place .It doesn't have to be an antique but an actual light fixture of some sort with a bit of character would work better in my opinion.

I am not sure about that blue in the kitchen but it might grow on me :)

The floors and architecture of the place are so magnificent, it really doesn't need any gimmicky decorating touches.. I think definitely in a space like this Less is More.
