Emily and Marius Haverkamp's house in Amsterdam

Located in the Jordaan district in Amsterdam, this former warehouse, now turned into a loft  is the nest of Marius Haverkamp, interior designer, and his beautiful family. In 2007, when he discovers with his wife Emily Gray, the creator of Gray Label, this incredible place in the middle of  Jordaan area bohemian neighborhood,  they had no hesitation about the acquisition of the property. After a year spent making plans, obtaining the necessary permits, and then another year to build and develop everything, they can finally make this beautiful space their home. This happy place is entirely organized around a patio made of glass and steel, and through which natural light is diffused throughout the house . Here industrial past and modern building mix together, with the sublime and original red brick wall which covers the entire kitchen wall. The monumental chandelier in black clay, handmade in Africa, a wedding gift, sets the tone for the room decor. Emily and Marius's goal is to live in a house with simple and personal decor,  a happy mix and match,  and most important : where children can move freely …
